Having mold in your home or office is not nice in any way – I am sure you know that already. It is usually advisable to try and get rid of mold once you suspect or notice is anywhere as it can be a health concern when it spreads.
However, in order to get rid of mold, you need to be sure that what you are suspecting is really mold and also what type of mold it is. This can help you deal with the mold better and an ideal product that can do this is a mold testing kit.
There are many of them available for purchase but in this review, we’ll be checking out a not so popular one – The QwikTest Homeowner’s Mold Test Kit.
Product Description and Features
The QwikTest Homeowner’s Mold Test Kit comes with 5 mold testing samples and a few other materials needed to test for mold. It is easy to use and everything can be done in 3 easy steps.
Your samples will be sent back to the laboratory where it will be tested by a chemist. You will have to pay a fee of $15 for lab testing for each of the testing samples except one. That means, if you send in just one sample, lab testing is free while a fee is charged for each of the rest.
You will send your samples along with a duly filled registration form. Once your samples get to the laboratory, it will be tested and analyzed for possible mold. You should expect a detailed report from the manufacturers in a couple of days.
QwikTest Homeowner's Mold Test Kit Review
- Easy to use
- Free lab test for one kit
- Includes 5 testing samples
- Does not test air
- Poor customer support
Testing mold with this kit is quite effective but there is less available information about the product. While the QwikTest Homeowner’s Mold Test Kit might not be a bad buying choice, there are better mold test kits than it.
